People of Color UNtraining |
The ProgramParticipants will come from a variety of communities, organizations,
family structures, and lines of work. They will be motivated by both personal
and professional concerns, and a desire to work in a group setting. The UNtraining is held in groups that meet once a month for six months in a workshop format that combines presentation of concepts and tools, experiential exercises, self-reflection and group process. The meetings are generally held on weekends. The People of Color Group began in 2013 and expanded in 2014. In 2016, the Chinese group combined with the POC group. In 2021 there was once again a separate group for people of Chinese heritage who wanted to explore their unique experiences. Phase One introduces the basic concepts and tools of the UNtraining. It is our intention that all who are committed be able to participate. Our sliding scale is $1,000 to $2,000 for a full phase. There may be variations for local in-person groups. We ask that you choose to pay at a level with as
much generosity as you can offer. This will help others who want to do this work but may need financial
support. We do not want finances to be a barrier: payment plans and other options are available. You
may be able to use professional development funds from your workplace. We are happy to have a
conversation to see how we can support you to participate. |
